Tile cutter

A tool specifically designed for cutting ceramic tiles, although it can sometimes cut other materials such as glass. The cutting process has two stages. A thin blade (typically a cutting wheel) is drawn across the surface, making a small straight score mark in the glaze. Then pressure is applied evenly on either side of this line to snap the tile along the line. Handheld and bench-mounted versions are available.
