The face on the left Arnold moulded out of cement mortar. He put in a water pipe, so that water could cascade from the top lip into a small pond. The face on the right is set into a wall originally built in 1800, from a local coarse red sandstone called carrstone. These faces are said to have been modeled on real people.....
